Immich v3.2.1 is a focused patch release that addresses several bugs reported by the community. The main fixes include resolving connection pool exhaustion during sync, correcting issues with the new search modal, displaying partner-shared assets on the People page, and making person merging work properly when both people have names.
On the server and synchronization side, the update fixes a sync client disconnect that could lead to connection pool exhaustion, and it adds a vacuum step after database migrations while allowing concurrent reindexing to keep the library running smoothly. The web interface now removes archived assets from the timeline immediately, and the asset owner toggle correctly changes from “View asset owners” to “Hide asset owners” when enabled.
Search and navigation have also been improved: the search type is preserved during use, the “untagged” search button is back, memory filters are now honored on the Explore page, and the timeline scrolls to the top when navigating without a specific scroll target. In the duplicates utility, hovering over an item now shows its full path.
For people and faces, the People page now shows assets shared by your partner, and merging two named people works as expected. Face label clipping has been fixed (again), face updates now ignore soft-deleted faces, and metadata extraction for faces has been corrected. Finally, changing your password properly resets the internal flag that prompts for a password change.
